I like my background art to take on a life of it's own. As a result I utilise a lot of off beat animation loops and moving textural layers. I try to sandwhich the main action between as many soft effects as I can in order to create a sense of integration between all elements in the scene.
Frank's Last Pill
Backgrounds designed for my animated short film 'Frank's Last Pill'. I was influenced by Australian Mangrove swamps and the water ways of the Mississipi bayous.
